         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Habitat Loss:</strong> The destruction of their forests is causing their endangerment. This is because agriculture, human settlement, and infrastructure development have led to losing the elephant's natural habitat.<br><br><strong>Poaching and Illegal Trade: </strong>These elephants are hunted for their ivory tusks which are very expensive in some cultures. They are also wrongfully taken away for tourism and used to work.<br><br><strong>Climate Change:</strong> Climate change changes the distribution of food and water resources, affecting the elephants' migration and breeding patterns.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Vegetation: </strong>Elephants are very important grazers since they eat vast amounts of vegetation every day, spreading seeds around as they go. They also help shape the often-thick vegetation of the Asian lands. <br><br><strong>Importance in forests: I</strong>n forests, elephants create clearings and gaps in the trees that let sunlight in to reach new seedlings, helping plants grow and the forest to regenerate naturally. In turn forests provide important resources for both wildlife and people.<br><br><strong>Water holes: </strong>Elephants dig for water when there isn't any surface water which opens water access for other creatures as well as themselves.<br><br>Without the Asian Elephant many people and species won't thrive like they are right now. Forests also won't be able to grow again. The environment would also be destroyed as well.<br><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

These changes in climate can affect the growth and survival of rainforest trees, plants, and animals, as well as their interactions with each other. </li><li>Overexploitation: Many rainforest species are exploited for their valuable resources, such as timber, fuelwood, medicinal plants, and wildlife.
