I chose this font because it looks quite simple, but has an edge to it which makes it look quite stylish. Also this makes it looks quite professional and quite simple to read. The band is of pop genre and so even though this may not match many pop artists, I feel like the type of songs such as 'Geronimo' can make them quite different. Also as i've been speaking to a few different people about the song 'Geronimo', they thought the band was of country genre which also matches the logo above.

I chose to look at this font because it's very simple and easily readable. As a band I think this relates to them very well as they are quite casual and are not chart-topping artists, it was only the song 'Geronimo' that made them more well known.

Also looking at different digipaks and digipak adverts, a lot of band keep their logo quite simple and plain which is the codes and conventions I want to stand by. An example of this is Fall Out Boy as they tend to keep their logo in capital letters, narrow and thin which is kind of similar to the font above. This is effective and I think it stands out a lot more than having a font which has curls and other extras which are not needed.

I chose this font for the same reasons for the first font. It it less simple than the first one but it looks handwritten. This is because the letters join up and it is in italics. I liked this one because even though it had this style, it was still readable but if anymore was done I wouldn't like it and the font would be too much.

This font is similar to the one above but is in lower case. Also the letters are slightly thinner, but not too noticeable. The length is slightly shorter on this one but is not seen and can be changed. For these reasons, the explanation above fit well with this font.

Chosen Font

After looking at different fonts which could be used for the band, I think that the font in the bottom right-hand corner is the one I will use. The reasons I chose this is listed below the font, but overall I think that it shines out amongst them all and fits the band, song and music video very well. If this does not work I will chose the font on the top right-hand corner because of the reasons listed below the font. Most importantly it's simple and creates a classy and professional style.

Other Font Ideas

I narrowed it down to these four fonts from the many I chosen on the website called dafont.com. All of the other fonts will be found on the photo slide from photopeach.com below.

I ruled out all of the others and left these four because of the reasons below each one. All of the other fonts I looked at were either too thin, too wide and too blocky. If it wasn't for these reasons listed, I didn't think the font worked for the style of the band and the genre of the band as well.
