  3. Check the wheels and see if they are still intact.
  4. Check the SWL and check the weight of the car so you know that the jack can hold that amount of weight.

  3. Check for any pieces of metal that’s in the way of any moving parts.
  4. Make sure that if you are working with someone then their hand is out of the way and that your hands are out of the way when the press is in use.

when putting a car on the lift then you should check the SWL (safe working load) so you don't put more mass then its working load.
