We see the interest in time and experience come through in  Delauney's study of the eiffel tower. The geometric facets stongly suggest the movement and dynamism of modern life.

Delauney's focus on the eiffel tower in this composition through the dominant red against the dusky blue background, demonstrates the tower's complete dominance over the parisian skyline, and moreover the role that technology was playing in modern paris. 

"The need for a new subject has inspired the poets, launching them onto a fresh path and bringing to their attention to poetry of la Tour (Eiffel tower), which communicates mysteriously with the whole world. Rays of light, waves of symphonic sounds. Factories, bridges, iron structures, airships, the numberless gyrations of aeroplanes, windows seen by crowd simultaneously."

The dynamic and swirling composition with the facets that impossibly overlap, suggest a new way of experiencing time and space in paris. We are simultaneously presented with multiple viewpoints of the city. 

The Red Eiffel Tower painting is a monument to Modern French glory, the colour palette alluding to the french flag. Perspective and space is distorted and bent in a way that overwhelms the canvas and offers an impression of chaos to confuse the mind. This is seen with the dramatized contrasts between foreground and the small, swirling, abstract background. This gives a dizzying effect that is relative to the whirlwind of industrializing, modernising society.
