Soon, Hiro realized that Tadashi's death was no accident, the guy in the Kabuki mask was responsible for Tadashi's death. Hiro then "updated' Baymax's programming by creating a protective armor and by teaching him karate. After this had been done for, Hiro and Baymax returned to the warehouse where they had been attacked only to get attacked once more. Skip a few minutes later, Hiro's nerd friends showed up and helped him out. After escaping the near death experience, the circle of friends came to a conclusion that Krei was the bad guy behind the mask. Hiro and his friends soon decided they had to fight back as superhero's in order to fight/defeat Krei. After arriving,  the six friends came upon a room, finding a video. In the video, an astronaut named Abigail was launched into space, where she died. The man in the Kabuki mask then attacked the friends, the friends fought back, learning the man in the mask was none other than professor Callahan. Baymax is now programmed to kill. He chases Callaghan & starts attacking everyone, as ordered by Hiro. Hiro's friends manage to place the good chip into Baymax, Callaghan getting away. The nerd friends say they don't want to destroy Callaghan, they just want to catch him. Hiro storms off, taking Baymax and starts to permanently take out Tadashi's chip. Baymax then activates a video of Tadashi, showing his best efforts to create Baymax, to heal not to kill. They also discover Abigail was Callaghan's daughter. Callaghan showed up with his bots and confronted Krei, stating, "You took everything from me, now I'm taking everything from you." After this, Hiro interrupted, asking Callaghan if that's what Abigail would have wanted. This did not stop Callaghan from destroying Krei and his precious company. Hiro almost got sucked up into the dangerous portal that Callaghan created with the microbots. He then figured out a way to break the bots apart. Then, when he got sucked up by the portal with Baymax, a sign of life was detected, Abigail. Baymax asked Hiro if he was satisfied with his care, but Hiro said he couldn't lose him too like he had lost Tadashi. Baymax replied, "I will always be with you." After Baymax was sacrificed, Abigail was taken to the hospital and Callaghan was arrested.
