I think that there are some people that are doing good at social distancing and other that are not doing good. A lot of the people on spring break are not doing a good job at social distancing. But there are a lot of people who are just staying home and not going out. I think that social distancing is helping to slow the spread of coronavirus just a little bit but I do not think that it is going to slow it down dramatically. I think that there has to be something else out there like a vaccine or something like that to help slow it down on top of the social distancing. I think the more severe the virus gets the more people will start to social distance because they will realize how bad it is getting. But for now I think that social distancing is just helping a little bit but not a lot with slowing down the spread of the virus. There just needs to be something else out there including social distancing to help slow the spread of the virus. Also it can't just be some people social distancing everyone has to do it in order for it to work.

Personally I think that enough citizens will practice social distancing because people don’t want others to get sick. For example, almost two Saturdays ago I went into Dedham Square and almost no one was there besides me and my friend. It was desolate. Sure there were a few people, but when we went into CVS there was no one in there besides from the workers. There were no lines. In addition I’ve FaceTimed my friends to talk about social distancing and they haven’t gone out unless it’s important, like going to the grocery store. All over the internet i.e Instagram, SnapChat, Tik Tok and Youtube all people post about is to stay inside. Instagram has this new feature called “Stay Home” where it compiles all of the Instagram Stories into one place and they all have the message “Stay Home.” On Tik Tok if someone posts something about Covid-19 under the description it will have information about Covid-19. People are mostly staying inside unless they need to buy some groceries. If people need to get something now they won’t go out to the store they’ll buy it on Amazon. In addition people aren’t going to restaurants, they're getting DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub and Postmates. Also I’ve seen on Tik Tok that people that work in restaurants the restaurants will only allow take out to limit human contact. Also many T.V shows that have live audiences don't have live audiences or like The Dr.Phil he films from his kitchen using his laptop webcam. People are not playing games in person; they play games on their phones with their friends or an online game. Friends won’t hangout in person; they'll either FaceTime, Google Duo, House Party or start a group chat with all of their friends. In addition clubs will Zoom each other to connect.

I believe that if social distancing is enforced by the government and others around people then it may work because it is very difficult for any disease to spread when those who are infected with it are not spreading the disease to others. Also some people disregard the rules of self quarantine and these numbers will likely decrease if it becomes enforced by law. Some people aren’t aware of it still being potentially dangerous and that the flu which the virus is similar to is still potentially lethal and choosing to ignore both the state and federal government's decision to lock down is only going to worsen the situation and if the virus isn’t destroyed soon enough it will grow into a danger for all people of any age and immune system. More elderly people are mostly the one who are affected by the virus and many of those who disregard the rules of social distancing are not only risking themselves but the majority of the elderly population. In this situation it is less about the healthy population being at risk but some of the healthy population’s decisions that are endangering people with compromised immune systems and harming those that they hadn’t considered would be affected.

Yes, I think enough citizens will practice social distancing to help slow down the spread of corona virus. I think this because if enough people stay home, it will be more effective. The more people want to socialize and go out with there friends, the longer they are going to have to wait for everybody to leave. If most people just stay home for 2 weeks and don't hang out with friends, they will be able to hang out with them sooner. In the video, it says that the more people social distance, the quicker the numbers are going to go down. If people just listen and do what they are told, this is going to go away much sooner. In conclusion, the more people social distance, the quicker we are going to go back to normal.

i think many people are taking the coronavirus serious and taking into consideration that it isn't some ¨dumb¨ virus and it can actually hurt people. And knowing that i think people are staying away and only going out when they need too. But there also are some people that dont care mostly teens that don't think they would be harmed because mostly elders are dying because of their bad immune system but they should realize that they carry it and it could go onto some older people and they could get super sick. So overall i think most people are staying in and being smart about the spreading of the coronavirus.

Yes I think social dicatning will help stop the spread because if people aren't near each other then the virus wont spread through people. If people aren't closely interacting then the virtues will be isolated. It won't be able to spread through human interaction. So if people interact with co workers, peers, distant family and store workers then the values won't be able to spread in mass amounts like it has been. As people move around and go to work the viruses passed from person to person and it then continues to spread in large amounts. When you move around freely you are more likely to spread the virus to other people. Social distancing could also give hospitals a period of relief so they dont have so many patients at once using the supplies and tests.Flattening the curve helps decrease how quickly the coronavirus case forms. If enough citizens participate in not going out and distancing themselves from their friends and family members then it can slow the rapid spread of the coronavirus. Overall if everyone practices social dictaning then it can help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

I think over time enough citizens will practice social distancing to help slow down the spread of the coronavirus. It is hard to tell how many cases of coronavirus have actually happened because not everyone who had it got tested, due to the lack of tests. Since more tests are being produced the numbers of confirmed cases are going up. But that doesn't mean that the number of people who actually have the coronavirus is going up. I think that if the number is steady right now, it can go down. Most people I know are in self quarantine and staying with their own families, so they don't spread the virus. So I think over time it will die down slowly.

I do think that people will practice social distancing to help slow down the spread of the coronavirus because it is just so contagious and many people can suffer from it. I think that people are going to realize what it can do to people and that is going to worry everyone so they will stay away from people and once people start to stay away from each other that is going to help everyone and help people stay healthier. I chose this answer because at first I just thought that people were overreacting about it and freaking out for no reason but then i noticed that it was killing people and getting people very sick so i started to social distance from everyone because i got worried that i could get the sickness since it is very contagious.

Yes, I think enough citizens will practice social distancing to help slow down the spread of the coronavirus. Since the news about social distancing is known by more people trying to prevent themselves from getting the virus, the people keeping a critical distance from others could help stop contact with the virus. Even if someone does have the virus, their symptoms would seem noticeable to themselves and to others who would keep a safe distance. By simply isolating yourselves from other human contact, you would prevent yourself from getting the coronavirus. Although, social distancing is not all there is to stop the virus, someone with the virus may not know it and touch many things that others also touch (like elevator buttons). So that's why it's important to wash our hands along with distancing ourselves from others. So when commuting to work in a bus or a train filled with people, it may seem difficult but finding a safe space from someone else and using a tissue over the palm of your hands to grab handles and hold on to railings would also prevent the spread of the virus. In a few more weeks, if more people learn from others who are distancing themselves and do the same, this could be practiced by everybody and eventually we may begin to notice a decrease in the cases for the coronavirus.

I think eventually enough citizens will practice social distancing to "flatten the curve", but right now I don't think people are doing enough to stop the virus. For example people are having friends over to their houses or going to beaches or parks. It's just making this situation harder for everyone. I think if everyone practiced correct social distancing this could be done with in the next couple of weeks.

I think that yes, enough citizens will practice social distancing. I think that even though some people may not care enough about random people at the grocery store to respect and follow the rules of social distancing, they care about their baby or elderly family member. I think that maybe a random person won't really care about if I get the virus, but maybe they live with a grandparent, or have a baby at home. Maybe they will think of them, and say, hmmm maybe I should clean off my grocery cart, and maybe I shouldn't go and have parties with my friends. I think that even if some people aren't that concerned with flattening the curve of the virus, they will be concerned about and thinking about their friends and family who are particularly susceptible. Even in the moderate distancing simulation, the curve was still more flat than 2/3 of the others. If three out of four people still follow social distancing rules, then the people who are socially distancing will probably stay healthy. Even the people who are not practicing social distancing may not get the virus, especially if enough of the people around them are practicing social distancing.

Yes, I think enough citizens will practice social distancing to help slow the spread of COVID-19. I think this is true because on the video in the slide show social distancing did slow the spread, so we know now that that is true but the question is will people practice social distancing to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Like i said i say yes, mainly because of the scare so many people are terrified right now. some people are even taking it "to far" in my opinion. Which is not necessarily a bad thing sometimes. people are staying in their homes and only coming out to go food shopping. then there are people that think it is ok to go outside for a walk which is completely fine in my opinion to. unless the president says that massachusetts is under lockdown we need to get outside, get fresh air. As Long as if we see others on the street we cross or stay away. I say again most are to scared and i think that's what it comes down to in the end. This has never happened in the history of the world so ya i would be scared to.

I do not think that enough citizens will practice social distancing to stop the spread of the virus but I think enough people will do it to slow the spread. A lot of people aren't going to public places, so the spread of the virus would be slowed down. However, there are a lot of essential jobs that people need to do in order to keep everyone safe. There are also people that don't care about the virus and hang out with their friends, which could keep the virus spreading. In the video, even with the social distancing, the virus still spreads. Although it doesn't spread that much compared to without it, it still spreads which would mean the virus would just slowly spread almost everywhere. If the only people that aren't practicing social distancing were the people with essential jobs, then the virus might spread a bit less than it is. Unfortunately, there are still people that don't and son't understand that they need to stop having social interactions.

This is why I think the spread is starting to slow down.

Yes, I do think people will practice social distancing to help slow the spread of the virus. People already doing it (At least in MA) to an extent. Schools are closed, gathering can't have more than ten people, and only essential workers still go to work. The video states that "Since early March, there has been dramatic increase in the number of people in the U.S with Coronavirus. And this increase has scientist worried." This is true, but I believe that because of all the media coverage, stories, and stats being shown that people just realized how serious this is. People have been no-stop told that social distancing is the best way to combat the virus. Of course there are outliners, but I think people are starting to understand how important it is to stay inside.

I think social distancing helps stop the spread, but since many are still going out and doing as they please, everything is going slow. I think social distancing does help, but the virus is still spreading because people are still going out and aren't listening. I think his because I was told be many people that social distancing works and if more people were to do it would help more than what's going on now. I think the spread could decrease by a lot if no one left there house for a certain amount of days. I think they virus would stay as it is if we continue what we are doing. I think the social distancing is a good start to react, but not many people are following it, which causes it to not work as well. If people took it more serious, I think it would be easier to stop. Many people still go out not realizing that this is serious. it isn't like the flu, but it still exists so we have to be cautious. I understand why people might not take this serious, but no matter how healthy or unhealthy you are, you or a loved one could still get it. People think it also isn't a big deal since stores and such are still open. Citizens believe that everything is fine a long as you sanitize your hands.

I think that a lot of people will practice but there's always a select few people that think they are above the law but one thing that i think is very bad is that is the outbreaks in old folks homes then the older people are the most vulnerable and then when they are exposed and also i think that if they had a system that would test faster an public workers needed to take that test every time their other results came out so that they were frequently taken

I think enough citizens will practice social distancing to help slow down the virus because they probably don’t want to get it. People don’t want to get sick. If there is a solution to stop the virus, people will probably take the chance to get rid of it. If seen people wear gloves around grocery stores and bags around their mouth. You don’t want to go through what people with corona are going through. Some people think that it is not a big deal but it is. There has been a severe increase of cases throughout the U.S. and they are just going up. If people are really concerned about it, they will probably try social distancing and are not going to hang out with other people. There are some people that are still hanging around with their friends and partying, but that might not turn out well for them. People have to make a change for this virus to calm down or even go away. Right now I'm not allowed to go outside or anywhere. I would much rather go to school right now but I also don’t want this virus. I think that people will practice social distancing for the risk of their health.
