         <title>I learned the 6 principles for ELL learners, the importance of accepting ALL ELL learners regardless of what language they speak, and various strategies to help ELL learners adapt to the curriculum.  I can implement ticket to leave and peer buddy alignment for ELLs. I can also collaborate with the ESOL teacher through direct communication via email, phone, or in the classroom.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Students need scaffolding but be careful with too much translation.<br>2. Students learning another language will often have anxiety in a ned environment.<br>3. I learned that speaking slower or slowing down a video can assist students learning a new language in learning. <br><br>Two strategies I can implement in my classroom are:<br>1. Label items in my classroom such as bookshelves, flags, and other common classroom items.<br>2. Add pictures in my lessons to assist students understanding material. <br><br>One way I can collaborate with my ELL instructor<br>1. Collaborate and co teach using some of the scaffolding strategies with all my students because some of the strategies used for ELL students can be beneficial for the majority of the students. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) 70% of ESOL students are born in the United States.<br>2) Some forms of scaffolding are not sufficient in all cases.<br>3) Students who are re-classified are still monitored for 2 years following re-classification. <br><strong>Two Strategies I can Implement:<br>1) </strong>Utilize classroom examples, materials, and visuals that are culturally relevant to our ESOL students. <br>2) Utilize a clear, consistent routine of  language with your ESOL students.<br><strong><br>One Way I can Collaborate with my ESOL Teacher:<br></strong>1) I can regularly conference with my ESOL teacher to discuss a student's areas of strength in both our classes, their areas of needed improvement in both our classes, as well as discuss best practices to utilize with said students to facilitate achievement.  </div>]]></description>

Two strategies I would like to implement are slowing down my speech, and coming up with a buddy system for any ELLs I gain in my homeroom or in my classes. I would like to collaborate with my ESOL teacher on more specialized ways to interact with and support my specific students. <br><br></div>]]></description>
