In general - less administrative tasks throughout the school year. We only get three planning periods a week. Quality lesson planning and grading take time. Right now, I spend my planning periods in parent meetings and completing administrative tasks (data dig, rbes, academic contracts, PBL meeting, curriculum meeting, book study meeting, etc.) which means that I'm lesson planning and grading on the weekends. They are not able to keep up with the rigor of the Humanities AKS. A block where ELA is the main focus would be great. More time is more opportunity to go to deeper understanding with the students more time in the classroom. They maybe block scheduling or dividing up the skills across the grade level.
