      Political ideology largely concerns itself with how to allocate power and to what ends it should be used.
-Different Political Ideologies may hold different perspectives on the best form of government (e.g. democracy, autocracy, etc.) and the best economic system (e.g. capitalism, socialism, etc.).

You need to know who is with you/against you, who will support you in your cause, how will you raise awareness, why this cause is important to you, when will you take action and where. All of these play into your goals and that's what keep you organized and helps you to achieve that goal.

5. Violence: Acts and threats of violence (women, race, age)

All of these work towards maintaining individual and structural inequalities.

 
Social Service Workers may be navigating various levels of legislation and reform from a mirco, meso, and macro perspective. Specifically, it is imperative that an SSW understand the importance of various legislation, provided that it may directly affect the support you provide to a client. Moreover, legislation may aid or become a barrier or a client within their community. Thus, reinforcing the importance of understanding legislation in order to better serve your client.

Advocate: The Canadian Human Rights Act (the Act) is semi-consitutional law in Canada that provides legal frame work for a fundamental social goal: Elimination/ preventation of descrimination and promo of equality.
Possible courses of Acrtion*The Act provides a formal complaint process for employees who feel negatively affected by desrimination. *File a complaint before the commission: mediate, refer to tribunal, dismiss cimplaint. *If a win-employer may be subject to pay employer damadges or changes practices/policies. *Referral for legal support.   Ashley LaPlante
