I think that D.C superhero girls will be more than just merchandise. The characters aren't perfect. They're heroines, but they have flaws too, just like everyone does. I hope that this new idea will expand, because I have faith it will make a difference. Many other people agree. For example, Geoff Johns says “I think this is one of the most important things that DC will do,” I think these toys will inspire girls to be heroes-even without superpowers.

I think that creating super hero's that are girls and making them popular again is really cool but I also think that they shouldn't remake the superheros. I like it because D.C. comics is really trying hard to promote girls and their toys and comics. this is a good way to do it to because D.C. comics is really popular. I hope that their great new idea will make a difference in our world!

I haven't really liked superheros, but it's kind of cool how they are making some superheros for girls, but some of them are just girl versions of some of the well known super heroes. Such as, Bat man into Bat girl, Super Man into Super girls is it, etc. It just seems a little to simple.

Peyton and I felt that instead of trying to promote girls, they're using it as marketing. In the article the mention several times that this is a 'good business' and it is 'smart marketing.' It's more like they are having kids but them to get more profit than just empowering girls. My grandparents got me a DC Comic Super Hero Girl Batwoman action figure for my birthday that cost them ten dollars, just for mine! That is way overpriced and we don't really like this article.

I agree with this artical. I like how Warner bros is paying attention to girls and trying to make new super heroes that appeal to girls. I also like how there making the statement to girls that you don't have to always look attractive or cute and that they can be whatever they want. ~Jeff
I think that this artical is just trying to impress people because it says that they are putting it into target early to get more people buying. However, I also think that it is nice that they are adding girls into the action. So what I'm saying is they are doing it for a bad porpoise. Like doing just for the money and not to encourage girls to be like them. But I like that they are adding in the girls. (Disney princesses only tell girls to follow your dreams, marry someone, and have a tiny waste!!! NOTHING USEFUL!) ~Allie~

@Mia We totally agree!
We think that this is a super cool idea except for one thing. They should be making new superheros not just turn offs. Also, the new girl superheros are just girl versions with a little odd personalities. For example, supergirl can fly just like superman but she is socially awkward. Why would you do that to a female superhero (Why was superman not socially awkward?)? Also, the names are just not original and their powers are the exact same as the boy’s powers. If they are going to make new superheroes for girls they should at least put some effort into it.

*Fiona*
I sincerely agree with this article. I love how DC is now focusing on girls instead of boys. There will be so many new superheroes that are girls instead of boys! I especially agree with this article because they aren't even using stereotypical clothing and colors when designing the superheroes!
*Jordana*
At first I thought that this article would be strange because it was about super heroes. The fact that the super heroes were girls made me fell like they were going to use colors that not all girls agree with
(pink, purple,and so on) . The fact that they made them teenagers kind of made it fell more at home. I enjoy that they cut the high heals and big poofy dresses. I have never really enjoyed super heroes but these are something I would buy.
