Space chose: Dining Room

During MCO period, there are times that me and my family are unable to leave our house. Therefore, we need to use our house spaces wisely to do activities EAT, WORK and PLAY. To me, my house is consider small. Because of that reason, I only use the dining area to do my eating, working and playing activity. In my design, many of my daily used objects are drawn on the dining table to show that how the dining table is wisely used during the pandemic.

EAT, WORK and PLAY
Space chose: Dining Area

During the pandemic, we are limited to places. Therefore, we are to used our house spaces wisely so that we could do activities EAT, WORK and play efficiently. In my drawing, my dining table is drawn but in a different manner. I uses a conceptual drawing to express how I used my dining table during the MCO period. Objects used for different activities such as EAT, WORK and PLAY are categorized into their specific activities columns. Those objects are drawn as an app. Is like, we are able to choose what object we wanna use for specific activity on dining table. This ideation came from many people tend to use their mobile phones more often especially during the pandemic due to boredom.

FORM EXPLORATION.

The Design of MICROPODIO is created to show the uniqueness of people through the soundwave pattern as different people will transmit different soundwave in pitch or frequency. There I used the various patterns of the soundwave surrounding the main structure which is the cylinder in the middle. The cylinder itself is also designed using the pattern of soundwave as well to show that how important is soundwave receive and transmit to the microphone itself. Basic shape of microphone like the circle frame as well as the cylinder shape is using in design as well.

Design of the MICROPODIO (Project 2 Task 2) is further designed and adapted to make spaces for the SINGING and EATING activities and NEW NORM is applied for both of these activities. So that, people that are using the space are able to follow the SOP and have fun together at the same time. Messages that i wanna convey through HAPPINEST is not only the uniqueness of people through soundwave, is also including the message of able to socialize and and fun with the one you love is also a source of happiness rather than only the achievement in career like what the young's think of on recent years.

Design Principle used: Repetition, Rhythm, Datum and Hierarchy.

Ideation:
1. Movement of Soundwave transmitted by microphone and basic forms and shape of the microphone.
2.  I used music notes and element and turn into design and surround it on HAPPINEST to show that this place is full of music vibe.
3.Areas are split into 3 parts which consist of  the Karaoke Room, Dining area and the Snack Bar area.
4. Karaoke Room Sliding track door able to act as a divider that separates or link all spaces together. (MCO period not everyone can be in same room, therefore able to maximize the area so that different area people are able to do the same activity.)
5. Trellis that are designed spiral upwards like soundwave pattern.
6. Canopy with curved custom designed from ideation of form exploration pattern.
