I guide the people and camels to where they need to go.  Me and my cousin Ali are leaving to go across the Saharan Desert. This trip is going to be very difficult. I know that because I have traveled the route many times before. The Sahara Desert is the largest desert in the world and their isn't many places we can stop and get water and food for the camels and the people. We are going to trade for gold and salt. Salt is located in Northern Sahara. Gold is located in Southern Rainforest. The gold and salt are carried by the camels. Each camel can carry around 300 pounds of gold. During our journey there are going to be many dangers. We can run out of food and water. We are on the road to go cross the Saharan Desert. Usually the bandits are on one of the ways mostly they are on the left side. So we are going to go on the right side. I told the hole crew and Ali. The crew said that they see another caravan but with no camels. So i decided to go ever and see if any one is in there that needs help. Inside the caravan there is gold and salt. Some people must of stopped here and there caravan broke so they had to carry stuff. We found some gold and salt so know we are even more rich so all we have to look out

They are bandits!! They are trying to make us pay to get past. There are only three bandits and there are lots of us and we have weapons spo we are going to try to beat them up for trying to make us pay. Maybe a day in there. It is hot and dry. all of our men are on the camels. The wind started to get a little fast. All the sand started to come up at our faces. Then it started to get faster and faster. Till one of our men yelled "SANDSTORM" everyone started to panic. Then i had to yell at everyone, even Basil. I told them that we are going to be fine it is just a littler set back. Half the day went by and the sandstorm is still going. Our camels are going 2 miles and hour. The wind started to go down and so did the sand. There are even more people here than in Morocco, but it is more quiet and smells more normal. We haven't seen one person in this town. I think it is abandoned We checked all the houses and stores there is no one there and nothing their as well. They must of left because of the sandstorm. So our men gave the camels water and food and they rested on these old beds. These beds were the only things left behind besides some chairs. So every one fell asleep but me. I was trying to find a map to see were we are. I found a map inside one of the stores. Once we left every single one of the men are wide awake ready to do some business. Surprisingly no one has gotten sick yet.On the way to Timbuktu we had to stop to eat. The hole crew was saying that they were hungry. We made it to Timbuktu in no time. This is also a quiet place, but once we got in there, there was lots of people. They were all buying stuff from food markets. It looks like some holiday is coming up so people are buying food for a feast at dinner. We stayed for a couple more days before we left.

Quick sand is in the dunes. When you go into the dunes the sand goes up to your knees.
