I am a strong advocate for the establishment of dedicated cycle lanes in our area. Hi my name is Cici and I am going to talk about my opinion about more cycle lanes being added to the roads. Me personally I think that it is not a good idea, reasons being they are already taking up to much space on the road, they are causing traffic in very busy areas and some cycle lanes are being built onto pavements wich have already caused me to nearly be hit quite a few times. Cycle lanes being built is going to cause more and more issues including the rising anger of road ragers, wich there are already plenty of. People want driving to be relaxing or sometimes even fun but not a time where your gonna get angry because a bike has cut you off or a bike has wizzed pass you while your waiting in traffic. Don’t get me wrong I do think cycling is a good thing it has benefits for your health, your mental health and it is just fun but there are so many places that they already have to ride, so why waste money on more cycle lanes when you could use it on things that are much more needed like building more hostels, more care homes or even donating to help a charity.
