My favorite aspects include when Ratliff discussed "repetition" in music and how there are patterns in different songs. As well as when he was talking about "audio space" which refers to the abstract of the record being made and "endless inventory" which is the artist's primary built up collection of music over the course of time and the evolution that occurred during that. Personally, what I found to be problematic was the concept of "transmission" which is apparently when singers go transparent with their voices in order to communicate something. I had a difficult time understanding how a direct line can send a message through the force of his/her voice.
