AT&T and Time Warner - $86 Billion

Both companies belong to the same industry (telecommunication), therefore making it a horizontal merger. 

On October 22, 2016, AT&T (T) and Time Warner (TWX) reportedly reached a deal in which AT&T will buy the media company for $86 billion according to various media reports.

It will be the biggest deal between tech companies in history — if it goes through.

Privately held Dell couldn’t be more serious about its transformation from a consumer PC business to corporate IT powerhouse. Just look at its pending deal for EMC (EMC).

1.SUZLON-REPOWER: Suzlon Energy Limited is a wind turbine supplier based in Pune, India and RePower systems SE (now Senvion SE) is a German wind turbine company founded in 2001, owned by Centerbridge Partners. Wind Energy premier Suzlon Energy’s acquisition of RePower for $1.7 billion.

TATA MOTORS-JAGUAR LAND ROVER: Tata Motors Limited (TELCO), is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company headquartered in Mumbai, India and a subsidiary of the Tata Group and the Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC is a British multinational automotive company headquarters in Whitley, Coventry, United Kingdom, and now a subsidiary of Indian automaker Tata Motors. Tata Motors acquisition of luxury car maker Jaguar Land Rover was for the price of $2.3 billion. This could probably the most ambitious deal after the Ranbaxy won. It certainly landed Tata Motors in a lot of troubles.

The acquisition gave Qualcomm access to NXP's customer base(which totals in at 25000 in direct sales.) as one of the largest producer of chips and Integrated circutes for the automobile industry and would give it means to escape the saturated Mobile Phone Market .

Qualcomm projects that the transaction will give the company a revenue of 30 Billion at the cost of 500 million.  

However, there is reason to believe that the deal may not  close in light of the Anti trust cases lodged by Apple Inc. and The South Korean Trade Commission.
