The oil is buried within the rock under tons of pressure, so if you give it a hole to escape through and a push with the gas you can get a LOT of oil. Dispersion is when you put chemicals into the water/oil that break the oil apart making it easier for the environment to remove the oil. Burning is when you use up all the oil as fuel for a gigantic fire out on the ocean.
