In your groups think about a learning goal (write a caption for a photograph, investigate strategies for solving a mathematics problems, build a stable structure, etc.,) and create a short assessment strategy that applies the principles of UDL. Record strategies for a) engagement, b) representation and c) action and expression. Then share with the larger group.

- Using a variety of options to give students choice. Such as geography (maps), video games, statistics to make a chart.
- Allowing for representation for students to custamize graphs for themselves.
- Using a variety of tools for students to make the physical grid. Some would choose pen and paper, some would choose virtual grids, some would use video games.
-Offering games such as Battleship or Connect-4 to give students alternatives.
- Placing a grid over a map of Europe to give visuals of battles in WWII
- Providing opportunities for students to design their own games using graphing charts. We can monitor their progression towards mastery by providing checkpoints and using formative assessmement
