  • Workers have a responsibility to recognise social injustice, understand the underlying systems that supports it, and pursue social change with, or on behalf of, vulnerable members and groups in society to advance their well-being.
  • Part of the worker’s ethical responsibility to clients is the ‘duty of care’ and not losing sight of vulnerable persons whether or not they are directly engaged with the service. 
  • Vulnerable members include but are not limited to young children, older adults, and persons with illness and/or disability.
