After:study new vocabulary before the lesson, practice the pronunciation, understand their meaning. During the lesson check students’ knowledge with some exercises, and not to stop at learning the words.Do group/short projects at the lesson

For secondary school.

divide my pupils in two teams one team - Pr S another - Pr Pr

they refresh their knowledge at home, during the lesson we discuss the rules, when they use these tenses and do different exersices, home task is to write a short story using one of them

Preparation: learn some topical words, their meanings and pronunciation (before working with the text about sports). During the class we are watching the video about these sports and guess them. After it we are reading the text, do some lexical exercises, ask the questions to each other on the topic. At home children do short projects about one of the sports, their representatives, add photos and then present in the classroom.

Give the new vocab to the Ss, let them describe the animals. Divide the class into several groups and let them make a plan how to present an extinct animal

Flipped task

The class is divided into several groups ( depends on the number of the Ss in the class). Each group had made up a presentation plan. They have to make some sketches on the animal (1-3 facts)

Flipped lesson

Ss share their ideas to their groups. Each group is given a piece of paper where they have to put out their ideas ( 25 min). The rest of the lesson Ss present their projects. The Ss vote for the bast project ( they can't choose theirs)

Students review and explain the meaning of words: love, like, don’t like, hate and then put them into line (ex.1)

Flipped task: at home they have to understand the rules of adding “-ing” to the words and do ex.2, 3, 4.

Flipped lesson: in class they work in groups – 1 student in group explains the rules and then all students check ex.2, 3, 4.

After that they have online test.

The main objectives of this lesson are :

to talk about types of music and musical instruments;

to watch and discuss a short video about music;

to practise structures with like, don’t like, hate, love +ing.

PRE-CLASS ACTIVITIES

Before class, students watch a short video with/without subtitles and learn new words on the topic. Then, they answer the questions about their musical preferences.

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES

Students do lexical exercises (complete the table, match the photos to the words, choose the correct word, listen to different types of music and guess music styles). In goups they discuss and compere their musical tastes using new words and structures with like, don’t like, hate, love +ing. At the end of the lesson they vote for their favourite music style by ranking ( Mentimetr)

HOMEWORK/REVISION

Students create concert advertisement flyers, posters

H/T - to make projects about about pupils' past habits in childhood with photos

Get your students to practise the conversation.

Use the questions : Would you like to go to the cinema? What are your household chores.

Who is your best friend, and so on

New: Sts work in pairs and discuss whether 1–3 statements are true for them.

They change their seats and give as much information as possible.

At the end of work Sts get some feedback from various pairs.

Visiting Kyiv

Look at the photos (sights and attractions in Kyiv). What do you know about  these  places ? Find information about these sights and attractions.

Flipped lesson.

The class is divided into groups . Each group write a short blog about  sights and attractions in Kyiv . Write about what you can see there, why people like to visit them, how old they are, etc. Then present it to the class.

Then students do interactive exercises (complete the table, match the photos to the words, choose the correct word,)watch the video about Kyiv.

Today I want to tell you few words about my teaching experience...Flipped classroom

I think that this is a great model for current learning.

There is concern from parents and teachers that students cannot possibly sit and be learn all day in traditional way,

I mean 5-7 lessons, especially when we are on remote learning.

So I use a flipped classroom model, I am giving my students some time

to do independent learning that I have either generated or found online.

I supply a small task, like an exit card or Microsoft Form to fill in, that students have to do to present the next lesson. Then next time when we are at school I focused on the independent

work from the previous lesson. The lessons after flipping are mostly discussions,

answering student questions, and preparing/introducing projects.

Here you can see an example of the work of my primary students.

As a result we all are happy. It really works ))).

1. Before Class:

Students watch a cooking show or video about traditional Ukrainian dishes (e.g., borscht, varenyky) and British dishes (e.g., fish and chips, shepherd's pie).

Task:

Students make a list of five dishes from each country and their main ingredients.

2. During Class:

Discussion: In small groups, students share their lists and discuss which dishes they would like to try and why.

3. After Class:

Students write a recipe for their favorite dish from either country, including step, cooking tips and photos.

• Duration: 30 minutes (at home)

Pre-Class Assignment: Students watch a video and read an article about different types of sports

and their characteristics. They should take notes and be prepared to discuss in class.

In-Class Activities:

1. Group discussions: Students are divided into groups to share what they learned about

specific sports from the pre-class materials.

2. Each group presents key points about a particular sport, including its rules, equipment, and

popularity.
