Stanley saw how mean the Warden could be and that shaped him to not be bad in Camp Green Lake or he will get in trouble. That was on Chapter 20. Inside, the Warden was all good and kind to Stanley, but was evil and cruel to Mr. Sir. This shapes out who the Warden is because first, the Warden is a lady. We all thought the Warden was a male. Second, this shapes out the Warden because I thinks she thinks it's more difficult to work with adults than children or maybe she likes children and doesn't like adults. Last, this shapes out the Wardens character because she is a tough woman and I predict she doesn't like people. But I disagree with you about saying Stanley is helpful. On page 82 when Zero asked Stanley to teach him how to read, Stanley said no. On that same page it said that not only had Stanley's muscles hardened but his heart had as well. Only after Zero dug the hole for Stanley once he came back from the Warden's office did Stanley agree to help Zero, because Zero had done something nice for Stanley.
