         <description><![CDATA[<p>Franz Ferdinand was assassinated on June 28, 1914. He was the oldest son in his family and was the next in line in his family to become the leader. The assassination of Ferdinand happened because there was a bomb set inside of the car that he was in. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Trench warfare is a where people fight and defend territories with dug-out trenches, often leading to a stalemate with heavy casualties. They were created by the French military and an engineer named Sebastian le prestre de Vauban. People fighting during world war 1 used the trench warfare. The trenches were made by the soldiers fighting during war, and they dug deep enough so people inside them could stand. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Sinking of Lusitania</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>On May 7, 1915, the Lusitania, a ship recorded to be one of the biggest to be made by the British, was led to the indirect entry to the United States. It was wax torpedoed by a German U-boat as it was in the Atlantic ocean, on its way to new York. This caused the death of 1,195 people, and 128 of them were Americans. This made the Americans unhappy. But Germany saved itself by telling them the ship had weapons to help them in the war.</p>]]></description>

The first day of this battle was a sad sight to see as a lot of blood was shed. The war included the Germans fighting with the French and the British. Also, the war caused over one million deaths.</p>]]></description>
