Diane Arbus was noted for her work focusing mainly on the "shunned, outcasted and overlooked memebers of society. She is know best for her images of members of the LGBTQ+ community, the homeless, those suffering from dwarfisim, memebers of the circus etc. 

I admire and take insipiration from Dianes images for I find them so harrowing yet beautiful. She's captured such earth shaking narratives in each of her compositions. She took those who were once casted aside and ignore, and gave them representation.

One technique I most enjoy about Dianes work is her ability to allow each of her subjects to flll the images and be front and center, this is a compositional technique I feel she utilised to the greater good of her narratives and intent of bringing those who were once hidden to the for-fornt.

His technique of repetition is one I admire for it creates a level of complexity that allows viewers to become lost in the piece as they try to dissect it. Siskind worked through the Socail Realism and Abstract Expressionist movements. I most enjoy Aaron Siskinds analouge location shoots where he captures the decay and peeling of man made structures by the natual elements. Siskinds work demonstrates focus and detail. To me Mr Siskind created images so high class and detailed that allwows them to transcen from just being photographical compositions and istead becoming works of Fine Art.

Born on the 4th of November 1946 , Mapplethorpe used his background as being a gay cosmopolitian male as fuel for his creative ideas. Before his Death on the 9th of March 1989, Mapplethorpe changed the art scene. He had such high technical skils and used lighting to such an outstanding degree. Many of his work feautred nudity and focused heavily on the naked male form, leather and bdsm  but Mapplethorpe is also noted for his erotic images of flowers. 

Robert Mapplethorpe, for me, is insipring because of his use of tone, detail and light. The contrast in his images excel greatly. There is a reoccuring theme of each artist having deeper meanings to their images, a narrative of expression that is deeper than what the images may first appear; their is complexity.
