Currently I learn from my co-workers (past and present), professional development sessions that I attend, ASCD, and blogs/websites (so I definitely need to learn how to use twitter and other tools to build my PLN...). I share tech tips and good teaching practices via our school Google+ community that we started this year. I am excited to see where we can take our Google+ page but also to expand our PLN to beyond just our little community.

I have also done the GAFE training.

I also have facebook pages that I have liked that give me lots of great ideas for teaching.

I would say that my PLN has two tiers. The bigger net, I you will, would be all of my colleagues at the school I work at, as well as the many of educators out there on Twitter that help my mind get churning. The smaller tier is the one that really makes me who I am, and that consists of only a few colleagues and Twitter friends whose styles and beliefs are relatively aligned with mine.

I try to share what I can out on the internet. Through my Twitter account and my classroom blog (http://2ndgradeisprettycool.weebly.com/), I try to inspire others the way I am inspired by other educators. I am very mindful of how I share though. I try to document some form of the process before I share, so that other educators can see my ideas as they developed. I also get a bit nervous of sharing too much, because I do not want to seem like educators should do it the way I do. In fact it's the opposite. I want my work to inspire others to do it the way they want to.

I think I learn mostly from reading various sites, Tweets, articles, books, talking to other teachers, and my students. I am the type of person who goes looking for an answer when I can't find what I need. Especially when it comes to technology, I oftentimes find the search for answer just as exciting as getting the answer. For this reason, I tend to read a lot of blogs, Tweets, and other articles/book. When it comes to curriculum, I will often bounce ideas off of one of our SSTs. I also added my students. Oftentimes, especially when working with technology, my 4th graders are the ones who push me to try new things and challenge me with questions/problems to be solved, and they do it all without knowing they are helping me grow professionally as well.

I share my learning/knowledge with other teachers (especially during times I provide tech training), with others via Twitter, with teachers in order districts, and with my families and students.

I learn the most from my grade level team members. We are thick as thieves and consistently bouncing ideas off each other, collaborating, and learning together. We call ourselves the three headed monster because we rely so heavily on each other for support, ideas, and life. Besides my co-workers, I learn from our districts math TOSAs, all of whom I am very close with. We tweet, email, meet and share ideas on a regular basis. I also learn from my principal, she is twitter and ed leadership goddess and I am always learning from her. I use twitter to share and connect with educators near and far, and I have also learned a lot from EdTech GAFE Summits! I share with my colleagues, my principal, my twitter network, family, and parents.

I work in a very large high school so we have a very diverse staff with a lot of interesting people and great ideas bouncing around. All of my "neighbors" at work are very happy to share and collaborate with one another, and we are in and out of each others classrooms all day, and meet up outside of work to bounce ideas off one another. I have already agreed to take what I learn in this course back to school to share it with them! Outside the school, I don't have much of a "PLN" although I certainly spend a lot of time consulting the internet for ideas.

Youtube, Pinterest, and instagram are fantastic resources that help me out tons. It's funny how sometimes a quick visual post is all I need and other times when I need a real human talking me through every step of the way. I suppose I don't really have any systems in place for professional growth so it does get a bit inefficient at times.

Professionally I learn a lot from my current and past colleagues. I have worked at two very wonderful schools through my teaching career and they both have formed the teacher I am today. The contrast between my previous small and traditional style school to my current modern and high paced school, is quite drastic. I am constantly learning and communicating with all of these colleagues about anything from lesson planning, behaviour strategies, or even directly working together to do multi-grade integrated term projects. Our school has PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) where a group of interested teachers meet monthly to focus on a topic such as Inquiry or Project-Based-Learning. This course has just encouraged me to sign up for Twitter so although I have not used it yet, I do hope that it becomes a new source for learning!

I find that for me, a lot of my external sharing takes place with teachers in the U.K. because they begin language study much early, and it is must more organized as it is a structured national program. I am a member of the U.K. version of the web community TES, and do the majority of my sharing for levels 1A-3 in that community. I am also a member of the AP College Board online community and spend some time interacting with the community there, trying to ensure that all bases are covered for the AP program.

I work closely with the 6th grade science teacher, but I also ask questions of the high school teachers to make sure that I am preparing the students for the high school. I learn technology from our library/media services teacher, who often giggles at my questions, but never ceases to stop in and help me out. I especially learn from my students. The students empower me to be a better person and teacher. I watch in amazement as the students tackle a science problem, and I am forever seeking ways to answer their questions, find newer methods to bring in the classroom, and motivate the students to continue to love science. The students are the reason why I am taking this course. I want to help them become Future Ready, and I will learn with them along the way!

I do think there are many more opportunities to learn from people outside of my school. However, I think now teachers have so much on their plates it can be difficult to integrate how to learn from other people through various social medias. I also think that teachers have a great opportunity to learn from the students that are in the classroom everyday. My hope with taking this course and my district going 1 to 1, is that I can work with my students and together we can learn more and all be ready for the next steps in the world.

I am fortunate to be part of a great team of coordinators in our school division. As a team we share thoughts and ideas and reflect a lot on teaching practices and technology. I am always on the lookout for new ideas and they can come from anywhere: conferences, Twitter, Facebook, teaching blogs, Pinterest, books and the list could go on... I teach in a remote northern community and this is such a contrast to my first years of teaching, when classroom doors were shut and where teachers taught the best that they knew how. Resources were tough to come by, teachers were largely isolated from each other and, unless they told you, you never really knew what the teacher next door was doing. Technology has connected educators with each other and the world. I have found some of the groups that I am part of, such as the BreakoutEDU group on Facebook, is so awesome at sharing ideas that it inspires me to try and share new things that I am learning with others. In my role, I do a lot of sharing with teachers in our division and, at times, I share on social media. I find it really neat that many of the new things that I am trying come from all over the world and that they are coming from groups of educators that I have never met!

I am fortunate to work in a school district that offers quality professional learning experiences. We have a summer conference to which national presenters are invited. I also work with amazing group of teachers from whom I learn from daily. Additionally, I read books and attend conferences on my own as well. And then there's Twitter... I love Twitter! I have been able to learn so very much from a variety of people and groups via Twitter. I've watched numerous webcasts that I would never known about, read articles I may not have seen, and had questions answered at all hours of the day/night because of Twitter. My professional learning opportunities abound!
I share with co-workers, my district grade level group, teacher friends I've met along the way, and the worlds of Twitter & Facebook.

I work extremely closely with a few of my wonderful colleagues. These few colleagues are either in my grade level, in my PLC (Professional Learning Community for my content area), or are simply my close friends in the building. We learn, try, fail, encourage, celebrate, suffer, and support one another. I am lucky to have such amazing teachers surrounding me who give me ideas and inspiration on a daily basis! I also learn from courses and class such as this one. Listening to other teachers and professionals from around the world who share their experiences and expertise is always eye opening. I have always believed in the idea that teachers should never reinvent the wheel and collaboration among professionals is the key to success in our classrooms.

I collaborate with my colleagues regularly, and try to incorporate as many of their successful tips and tricks into my toolbox. I learn from my students, especially when they are either very successful or very unsuccessful - both cases help me to weed out a good and a bad lesson and/or strategy. I share with my colleagues through PLCs, small group professional development opportunities, and professional development workshops.
