The sun buried the people in springs and rocks but they eventually came back into the world and that's what they believe. 

In the 1530s, the Spanish conquered the Inca Empire.

  • The Spanish forced the Inca off the land so they could not grow potatoes and carrots and other different kinds of crops for them. As many as half of the Inca population died soon after the Spanish arrived. Much of the traditional farming knowledge was lost. Today people are trying to save the Inca ways and how they use to to grow crops and they are going  back to the way that the Incas use to to grow crops with.
