         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned from both of the Inca article&nbsp; is that the Spanish came and then destroyed there farming. Also I learned that the Inca farm had the dry farms to farm in. They learned that water helps there farm. In the region of the Inca there were many earthquakes.          <description><![CDATA[<div>One thing I learned in the article Inca Civilization's Rise to Greatness and its Downfall is that in their artwork they would use metal and make gold for the Inca nobles. Also, the Inca were good in their environment even though they had a harsh environment. The Inca's buildings were very good in design even with all the rocky mountains.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>According to Inca legend, Viracocha was a god that came out of the Pacific Ocean and created the sun and all people. The sun buried the people in springs and rocks but they eventually came back into the world and that's what they believe.&nbsp;<br><br>In the 1530s, the Spanish conquered the Inca Empire.<br><br></div><ul><li>The Spanish forced the Inca off the land so they could not grow potatoes and carrots and other different kinds of crops for them. As many as half of the Inca population died soon after the Spanish arrived. Much of the traditional farming knowledge was lost. Today people are trying to save the Inca ways and how they use to to grow crops and they are going&nbsp; back to the way that the Incas use to to grow crops with.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

The Inca people, who once lived there, were successful farmers in spite of the Andes' difficult climate. They developed new types of crops such as potatoes, corn and quinoa, a grain.
