         <description><![CDATA[<div>Based on this article, we can conclude that there are two teachers which is Sarah and Norma. Sarah had received formal training while Norma had not. <br><br>There are three elements that systematic planning focuses on which are<strong> objectives, instructional activities, and assessment techniques.</strong><br><br>Systematic planning models consist of:<br>1. Teachers should identify the objectives they want their students to attain<br>2. Teachers should plan and present instructional activities that are dearly intended to<br>help students attain those objectives.<br>3. Teachers should develop and administer<br>assessment instruments that measure student attainment of those objectives. <br><br>These are the differentiations planning methods used by these two teachers:<br><br><strong>Format of written plans<br>Norma</strong><br>- First: use two sets of written plans for the scientific process unit which is referred to as her unit plan (4 pages of handwritten notes)<br>- Second: her daily lesson plans<br><br><strong>Sarah</strong> <br>- Had one set of written plans for the unit<br>- Usually listed three things: the objectives she would teach, the activities in which she and the students would engage and the evaluation method she would employ.<br><br><strong>Mental plans<br>Sarah: T</strong>alking about objectives for the unit, her discussion focused on the same set of skills identified in her written plans.<br><strong>Norma: </strong>Including the scientific process skills listed in her written plans.<br><br><strong>Instructional activities<br>Written and mental plans</strong><br>- <strong>Sarah:</strong> Her daily plans for her science lessons were described in less than 20 words<br>- <strong>Norma:</strong> Quite brief, often consisting of two or three short sentences describing the instructional activities in which her students were engaged.<br><br><strong>Assessment Techniques<br>written and mental plans</strong><br><strong>Norma's </strong>written plans did not contain any references to assessment techniques. In contrast, each of <strong>Sarah's</strong> daily lesson plans included a section that briefly described the evaluation technique she would employ that day.<br><br>In this article,<strong> we as teachers should/how I can adapt to my context:</strong><br>1. Examine how well students perform each objective to determine whether instructional activities require revision.<br>2. We must plan our instructional activities with our objectives clearly in mind.<br>3. We should spend more time teaching mental planning techniques to our students.<br>4. We as teachers should plan our learning and teaching first before starting teaching to our students so that our learning process runs smoothly according to our plan that consists of our objectives, skills, etc.<br>5. It doesn't matter how planning methods we use at least we can teach our students based on the learning outcomes we want.<br>6. When our plans or our learning objectives are not successful based on what we already plan, teachers should think another creative, systematic ways to overcome that problem.&nbsp;<br>7. As a teacher we should tell our students what planning or learning outcomes they need to obtain.<br>8. Planning, techniques and strategies are crucial for teachers to make the learning process successful.</div>]]></description>
