First,gossiping gives people a sense of power. Gossip typically centers on the negative aspects of a person's personal appearance, personal achievements, or personal behaviors. People gossip about money and power, they love hearing salary rumors. Also, relationships because love is something that we all have in common , moreover, reputation ;people love to gossip about reputation to find out whom to deal with and whom to avoid. Some people are too busy to participate in a trivial gossip, it's a good way to be reliable and always speak with the truth. Because scuttlebutt can bring serious problems.

Nowadays, people cannot live without gossiping. Almost everyone gossips or has ever gossiped about some persons or any other themes of interest. However, many people consider gossiping to be a negative phenomenon, which influences their lives in a bad way. In my opinion, there is such a thing as positive and even neutral gossip. Because I have understood that gossip, if it is negative or positive, serves several purposes, such as to establish, develop, maintain relationships with others, to learn how to behave socially, to influence others, etc. for me there is no universal definition if gossip is negative, as I have already written, gossip can be positive, negative, or neutral. Consider this, everybody can slander to someone but before you do, consider all these points, and try not to blab with lies.

I think gossip is present in all areas of the human being. Such as family, work, school but specially on the media. People gossip about famous people, actors, singers, athletes, etc. For that reason, gossip shows are very popular in young people. Although it shouldn't be. I think gossip is bad and does not bring us anything good in life. Only takes time away from us. Even in real life gossip can bring us problems with others. Because we don’t know if the gossip is real or we have false information. It’s a bad habit that we should stop doing.

 

2.       Can gossip be used in a positive way? Which?

Maybe if you hear that something bad or sad is happening to someone, you could help them or seek help. In that case it can be positive for the other person. Or maybe to rat out someone you know did something wrong. Another way to gossip in a positive way could be to spread positive word of mouth gossip. For example, comment: “that person works well and is a good person”. We should always say something good about others. 

I think that it's a way to belong to something, to be part of something and with gossiping people can say what ever they like no matter if it's true or false, just to fit in somewhere.
2. Can gossip be used in a positive way? Which?
I think it could be used in a positive way, because when you gossip, you spreed a rumor and if that rumor could be something good that helps to a good cause, it would be amazing.
Because, that good gossip can get many different people who could even add different good things and at the end, the gossip that it's usually wrong o used for bad things, could help to do something good, maybe create conscious or help a good cause.
Finally, this depends of how people can change the concept of gossip, because is often used for bad and silly reasons and if people can't understand that gossip could be used for good reasons nothing it's going to change and gossip can't used for good causes.
