         <description><![CDATA[<p>Communication within the online learning environment remains an integral part of student success, mastery of skills, and productivity.&nbsp;</p><p>Exemplary submissions demonstrate creativity, reflection, and they are particularly transformative and informative in scope. Reflections include resources that note participant has expanded their learning beyond TOOL's resources, and the participant has employed additional web 2.0 tools. Verifiers may ask that these submissions be used as exemplars to future participants in the TOOL.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>"Cassandra's capstone demonstrated a complete and coherent understanding of the required concepts and skills for Communicate. Cassandra has clear understanding of techniques for effective online communication in a virtual classroom. Blog artifacts include: thoughtful reflections, discussion of effective teaching tools included for news/newsletter items (Excellent use of postcards for engaging news item, verifier found the chart outlining the purpose of various news communications exceptional), detailed rubric for Envisioning the Future project (verifier notes that the teacher's comments section allows for individualized feedback - certain best practice), and a concise discussion of digital feedback tools (ie. variety of "stamp" image feedback for various prompts - audio commentary, wordle images, and piktochart graphics.&nbsp; Verifier notes the variety of feedback provides opportunities to differentiate to student learning needs, excellent)."</p>]]></description>
