Fights often started but nothing to serious. But the fighting grew and on the day of March 5, 1770 in Boston a large group of colonists gathered in front of several British soldiers. They started throwing rocks and sticks at the troops. They took aim and fired. Many got injured and 7 died and those 7 were Crispus Attucks, a freed black slave; Samuel Gray; James Caldwell; Samuel Maverick; and Patrick Carr. The British soldiers keep shooting and reloading their guns until the colonists fled away. The colonists friends were either dead injured or alive but terrified. The colonists couldn't believe the British would fire.
