Yesiree, spot on.</p><p>"Three decades of data reveal that the WUI area and number of houses in the WUI have grown rapidly across the United States (Fig. 4). In fire prone areas, growth in acreage and the number of homes in WUI makes wildfire management more complex, challenging, and costly. Between 1990 and 2020, the United States added 179,000 square kilometers of WUI (an area equivalent to the state of Washington)—an increase of 31 percent. During the same period, the number of homes in the WUI increased by 47 percent."</p>]]></description>
