Each day students will think and reflect on what they "can" do or did on a daily sheet. The teacher (me) will assist in writing their responses. At the end of the week, students will have a total of three "I can" statements. They will record their "I can" statements in an app called "Seesaw" that will then be used for peer responses either written or verbal. These can be shared and parents will be able to see responses too. This way, students and parents will become familiar with the term "growth mindset" and how to reinforce this belief at home.

7th grade students will each create a short video on their iPads. The prompt is "What is the growth mindset? What is an example of the growth mindset?" The audience of the video would be younger elementary school students. As a follow-up students would submit growth mindset experience slips of paper into the growth mindset box. The teacher would read one experience per day and we would celebrate the student. One colored slip of paper would be for a student's own experience and another colored slip of paper would be for writing about another person who exhibited a growth mindset.
