In this clip from the Hunger Games we say a comparison of other women in the clip to Katniss. The other woman are doing the stereotypical house work and looking after the children while the men go to work. Katniss however is sneaking around and rebelling against the rules, she is also wearing pants and a leather jacket while the other women are wearing dresses. this shows a positive representation as Katniss is strong and independent.

Their role is to protect the public, specifically children, from content that might raise harm or risks.
Their role is to empower the public, specifically parents, to make the right choices. They also recognise adult freedom of choice. They provide a service and work alongside the film industry and advise.

Things that can be copyrighted are; Ideas, footage, pictures, song lyrics/music, statistics and logos. The advantages of this is it protects the property of the company and protects the profits.
The disadvantages of this is that it canoe seen as outdated and complex. 
There are some sites that breach copyright laws for broadcasting content  which does not belong to them for example, 123Movies and YesMovies are streaming sites for tv shows and films broadcasting them before they've been released on DVD or in certain countries. 
Media outlets have to be careful when pursuing information that could be private as they could breach the privacy law; everyone has the right to privacy and a private life. 
Legal action can be taken to ensure your privacy is kept. Super Injunctions are the main way privacy can be kept. A Super Induction is a way of stopping the press from reporting your private life. This can be granted by a court. Lots of celebrities have taken these out to stop there private information being released. However, if it's in public interest, the media can avoid the law and run it.
An example of a show breaking the Libel Law is "Who is America". The comedy skit is hosted by Sacha Baron-Cohen and features accused sex offender Roy Moore. Sacha is currently being sued £73 million for the skit.

The police originally suspected and arrested Christopher Jefferies whose reputation was ruined by the end of the investigation. 
Christopher was Joanna's Landlord and also lived in the same building. he was arrested on 30th December 2010 and was taken for questioning. He was released on bail after 2 days. In March 2011he was released from bail and was no longer a suspect. Christopher was teared apart in the media and his reputation was ruined from the headlines. It was so severe that he changed his appearance. He was made out to be a murder and was perceived as a cold hearted killer.

Reporting Stats - 
All stats must be accurate and used in correct context. You must avoid taking stats at face value and challenge incorrect ones whilst correcting them. The stats must allow the public to make their own judgements. This may impact the audience by changing their view on a issue due to the stats. this guideline will mainly impact BBC news.

Language -
The BBC must make careful judgements on the worlds used and the C-word, F-word and MF-word are banned.
TV shows before 9pm cannot have bad words but, some less harmful words can be used depending on the tone. the impact this could leave on the audience is they could be feeling offended by the remarks used if they aren't monitored properly. This would impact most shows.

Conflict of interest - 
the public must trust the BBC for TV shows and services. The BBC must be confident it's not influenced by outside parties. Also, TV shows must be balanced, for example, Newsnight; if they have a guest on from the Labour party they must have one from the Conservative party.
