Something that I've struggled with throughout the month is writing concisely. I think in future essays, I want to work on being able to remain within the page limits of the professor instead of talking about every detail I want to. While the details help, I think it's also important to talk about my ideas broadly without getting too specific.

I suck at formating. But it doesnt mean i cant get better. I really struggled on different aspects of formating, it felt like if i fixed one thing another was wrong and i could never get it perfect. but it definetly will work and practice to getting a good and correct format for my essays

One challenge that I still struggle with is making sure my essays flow. Sometimes I focus too much on writing individual paragraphs, that when I read my paper over as a whole, it isn't as cohesive as it can be. My transitions between paragraphs are either non-existent or need strengthening.

A challenge that I still struggle with is paraphrasing certain phrases or sentences. I end up using the same words from the sentence I'm paraphrasing and it doesn't look good when reading the essay.

A challenge that remains is thinking up examples that I could use. For example, the past essays I've only included one or two examples because it disrupts my process to have to stop and look for something to refer to when I could just explain it myself.

Something I still struggle with is the triac, specifically the restriction and restatement, I sometimes have a hard time putting things in a concise way when I don't have a good understanding of what the prompt is about. I can put it in my own words but it may not seem formal.

I still find drafting an essay a challenge. I have always struggled coming up with a first draft because I am always in my head. The outlines we did throughout the course for the out of class essays was very helpful but when I would get home to draft i would still get stuck.

I think I struggle creating an introduction that catches my audiences attention but also is relevant to my topic. I find myself straying from the topic even before the paper has started and then closing it in with my thesis that doesn't correlate to the things that I was talking about before I started my actual essay. In the Evaluation essay, I had trouble starting my essay without going immediately into my thesis and my evaluation of the movie I picked.

One skill I find challenging is not knowing how to explain certain things. In my essay #4 it was difficult to explain what was being said because I couldn't use my own words. This made it to where I had to reread the articles again to get a better understanding of what was being said. But even sometimes when I review something again I at times get stuck on what to say or expand ideas.

i still find challenging the quotations and citations. I feel like i have evolved but its still a challenge for me. I still have so many mistakes with doing it the right way.

I still feel like my grammar could be work on more and wording my writing better. I think there are ways that I can say that make my essay more engage and easy to read. I just need to revise my writing more to correct myself so I can improve more skills.

A remaining struggle I still face in my writing is with the drafting. Although we've covered specific ways to help improve upon this, I think I still have trouble getting my ideas down onto paper. For example, in the brainstorming/drafting portion of my essay writing, I had a tendency to explore too many ideas at once which effected the quality of my writing as some details I included were too specific and other times were too generalized.
