<title>PE had a challenging time to participate in any of the scenarios. The speaker system in the gymnasium High pitch sound distorts the directions being given. Maybe walkies should be also used during ALICE training. </title>

<title>This drill was my challenge. I had multiple students who did not care about the situation. They were trying to leave the room as well as offering unrealistic options. It made the drill more difficult because they were not listening. In the event of a real emergency, this could create problems. DK </title>

<title>We actually had students in our office for this drill (as opposed to it just being the adults) and it was a very good thing, as it made us talk through what our plans were. We are high enough up, that jumping out a window is probably going to result in an injury, so I talked with the kiddo that was with me, about how we would go about getting out of the window and into the courtyard, in a safer way. </title>

<title>+ This drill was a good way to introduce or review ALICE with students and got them thinking about potential items in the classroom that could be used to barricade or objects that could be thrown an assailant. It was good to talk about how we are supposed to throw things at an assailant because I believe a lot of students still have the hide in a corner and be quiet idea of how lockdowns used to be. </title>

<title>On this drill, students wanted to argue with me about my decision to remain locked down when in the scenario there was a gunman at the other end of my hallway. They did not seem to understand that a bullet could travel the length of a hallway and that they were not faster than a bullet. It was not helped when other teachers in my hall decided to evacuate. Some clarification about how to decide when to stay and when to leave may be necessary. KN</title>

<title>Although practicing is crucial for the unlikely chance that one of these situations will happen, I think we should go through ALICE procedures at the end of every practice so the information is kept fresh. Teachers should take a few minutes and review what each letter in ALICE stands for and means. Maybe put an ALICE poster in each classroom? Or something so that the information is readily accessible to the people in that classroom at that time. IH</title>

<title>The only issue I saw with almost every evacuation is that some teachers did not have a class list of the class they were covering because the emergency folder wasn&#39;t there. We also should make it clear that if a teacher covered a homeroom that morning and there is an evacuation, they are to report to that homeroom to take attendance. This also means that maybe every emergency folder should have a roster for every homeroom. IH</title>
