When 29-year-old Edgar Welch found out about the child abuse theory, he drove from his hometown in North Carolina to the Comet pizzeria in Washington with three guns and fired his assault-like AR-15 rifle to the frightened employees and patrons. Welch went to the Comet pizzeria to rescue the children he thought were locked away in the basement. He was surrendered himself and was arrested soon after the moment. No one was hurt. As stated in The New York Times article, “Mr. Welch immediately apologized saying he had made an “incredibly ill-advised decision” to try to save endangered children who were never there.” (Gunman in ‘Pizzagate’ Shooting Is Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison). Alefantis began an investigation with the police and the FBI to take down QAnon’s spread of lies. He filed a request for social media platforms to erase any messages or pictures they may have that are connected to the false theories such as Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and now Tik Tok. But it has not been successful as there are videos on Tik Tok that continue to spread and users that come up with new theories as to which celebrities are connected and under the control of QAnon or are involved in the child sex-trafficking ring. Unfortunately, Comet Ping-Pong pizzeria is in every back story. Everyday people choose what to believe in and what not to but there will always be a consequence to those who try to be the heroes when there is no accurate proof of the accusations being made against people.
