         <title>Cleveland:  Messaging parents when their student is not at school or morning meetings has been helpful, as they inform me if they are running late, have an appointment, or have a family emergency.  The daily attendance messages have helped form an open communication with families and a level of trust to let me know why their student is not at school, and when they will return.</title>

During walk-throughs, making sure to make contact with the student at some point before the midday point. Let them know where they are in terms of meeting the goal, or gain knowledge /insight on if they have constant barriers to getting to school everyday.
