My paragraph: In this world we have already many card products including bookmarks, business cards, cards to trade with people, etc. I am going to answer the question in 3 different sections. In my opinion I believe that we need more card products to express our creativity and to have a target audience. Take bookmarks for example, a good bookmark always has a good design, size, and something to hold it. But most importantly a purpose. Bookmarks are used to 1. Mark somewhere in a book for any purpose maybe you are using a book mark to mark where you left off in the book or just to inform what you should do in the page you marked. Card products are needed in the market because they are more portable than board games; also easier to understand. Card products can be identified as many things. Playing Cards, Trading Cards, and Card games (uno, dos, skip bo etc.). People collect them for many different reasons. Playing cards offer many games to play with it; such as Solitaire, Poker, Blackjack, and many others. People collect these cards to play and some cards are more decorated and more beautiful than others. Trading Cards are the cards you buy and trade with others. These cards can be used to trade with friends or play with others. One example is Pokemon Cards; Pokemon cards are popular because they turn original Pokemon in the anime and turn them into cards with some moves they can learn. Another reason is that every pack (5$), contains a rarer card, which is more valuable than other. Finally, card games such as uno, exploding kittens, and many others are popular because they are more portable than board games and are as fun. Uno is popular because it is very simple, match numbers and colors, and have many versions. Card products must also have a suitable price. For example, a normal playing card would be around 5-6 dollars for 52 cards. Some people might sell them for more if its hand drawn or maybe it uses gold. As said from above, Pokemon cards are around 5 dollars for 7 cards. The price for these cards are pretty expensive but people buy them because some cards that can be pulled costs up to 2000 dollars so its worth the price. Uno costs around 7 dollars so its pretty cheap compared to the Pokemon cards. So in summary, cards can be defined in many ways and the price depends on the rarity, precious and many other factors.

Paragraph 2
I will research different types of playing cards and how each are different. My final product will be a 52 illustrated card deck. The age group will be around 10-12 because they should know how to play with the cards (Poker, Blackjack Etc.). The style that will be in these cards will be simple and geometric (ideas might change after researching.

My other idea is after seeing the uno minimalista (seen below) I can make a minimalist dos with the same concept as the uno. This would alter my age group to be my Hanuman Family and other KIS house families because every house family receives a DOS card deck.

Paragraph 3

In order to reach and satisfy my target audience. I will make a form surveying the people around my audiences age, asking them what features would they want to have in a card. My ideas will be better than others because I will make it more age-friendly, bright, and colourful so that they can enjoy the games they played.

For my other idea I will need to have some minimalist designs and share it with my family. Then the most licked one will be the chosen. After doing a bit of research I haven't seen any minimalist DOS so my product will be different than other people's idea. My paragraph: If I were to choose I will create a cardboard lunch box for kids. The consumer or customer will be teenagers/ kids under the age of 15. This is because Kids under the age of 15 usaully do not really think about the price before buying which starts my other statement since I know kids do not really think about the price I will use this to my advantage making the price more than it should be and designing it based on their usual cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, sponge bob, etc this would make them buy it because it is showing their favourite cartoons on the lunchbox. Now my design of the lunchbox that I will be creating will be separated into four different parts including vegetables, meat, rice, and dessert. For each part can be a different size from each other because if made usually the meat would take up most of the space and the vegetables or dessert would take the least. I also have to think about a brand name which in this case I will be calling my product lunchables for kids. I also have an idea of a handle on the side to give the person or child holding the lunchable a better grip of the lunch box. When done with you can recyle it to remake one. Even I have an idea to make it waterproof for oil, juice if spilled on the box it will just go off easily. I have a pretty good grip on what my idea will look like. Now this would not be an original idea if I didn't put myself in it for not me as a picture but my creativity. My paragraph: Now since I have planed everything out time to explain how will this attract the audiences eye. Now we are going to talk about some phycology here I will be applying what I've learnt art class the colour wheel and phycology in colours. I would most likely survey my age and range of customers to get more info of what they would be interested in. I would want my product to be unique and maybe even colorful. It would be cool to create either a game of maybe card that you can collect. I will make and send the google survey to people in my grade since they will be my target audience.

I believe that we need more card products because they are very useful and beneficial in our life. for an example like a book mark It's made with simple design just a rectangular card and with a design to make it look interesting. it's very beneficial because it helps remind where we left off in a book. Card products is a useful material because all products serves a purpose just like the bookmark which is used to remind us where we left off in the book. price varies from many card products like for a book mark it can cost up to only to like around 1$-2$ if products like a cardboard figure could go for around 5$ to 10$ depending on size.

If I would have to design a card product I would design a cardboard tray because when I always get home I always throw my id card and other things somewhere else that I won't be able to remember and I would lose it so with this it keeps everything organized. I think the audience would be every age group because other people can use the tray to put anything in for example for kids would put their toys in and other adults would put there id card for work and keys to the cars. the design must also be eye catching to the customer and the audience because the design matters because if we use colors in the design then when people get home they would be able to see it and some writing like put your stuff in it so that they know what it is.

So I have thought of a unique product, by making custom hand made card collages, they can become more special. Since it’s personalized, I can layer many different memories of them together in one card, without writing much. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and layering different photos together will mean a lot more than that.

With my unique product, Alyssa and Muffin can feel satisfied and confident in what they will give to their loved ones.

Make your goal clear in your design brief and support it with the analysis you have done on the stationary products.

Identify you client and research their needs careful , use a questionnaire if necessary to explore their needs

After completing your Working Drawing and inserting it in the slides, we move onto Criteria C

Criteria C starts by making a plan.

Follow the time line model on the slides. For each position on the timeline fill in and illustrate what you will needs to do.

For example you may need to set up a template in affinity Designer .

You may need to scan in your work or develop your idea on affinity designer.

You will need to choose your type fonts and sizes.

Once your plan is complete, follow it to create your design

Be careful to note down any changes you make to your design as you progress.

Record all your progress in your slides

I will post instructions in Managebac and in the class padlet. Our Design lessons are Tuesday and Friday.
