         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The grammar translation method derived from the classical/ traditional teaching method used to teach Greek and Latin.&nbsp;</li><li>Started in the 1840s in Europe and was the dominant teaching method for the next 100 years.</li><li>This method was a means to to translate both into and from native languages and is based on the written words and texts.</li><li>Use of GTM slowed down due to a greater demand for people to speak other languages, however it is still in practice today.<br><br></li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
