I started not knowing what a corpus is and ended up being eager to use it for future projects. I like that we were exposed to new means of assessment and activities (making posters, panel discussion, peer review...etc), it made the experience more enjoyable and fruitful. My favorite part of the course was writing the research paper along with everything that went into it. I also really appreciate the instructor’s sincerity and passion which was definitely infectious.

Although it was a bit challenging at the beginning knowing nothing about the corpus, with your guidance I became very interested and eager to learn more. I am very sure that I will keep and use what I have learned throughout my studies. Moreover, I believe that I have learned so much more than what is written in books, it helped me to wider the scope of my thinking and re-identify my limitations. Doing the research was my favorite part of this course. I liked that you exposed us to different means to presents our research (e.g., the parallel discussion, posters, etc.) that are crucial for us as master’s degree students. It felt challenging and overwhelming. Then, through your continuous support and humble guidance we mastered it. Now I can share my knowledge with confidence as I’m, proudly, eager to introduce others to corpora. The course material was fruitful and the activity/assessment methods varied. The class environment was of high expectations and supportive. I’m sure this course, along others, will add so much to the future translation students. I hope they sight its clear vision and goals from the beginning.

So proud and glad to join this fruitful and productive course. We literally started from the scratch. We can tell, by the end of the course, that we acquired research skills since we went through every step of the research alongside with our instructor’s constant guidance and support. We proudly used SauLTC in our research papers. Moreover, we experienced lots of activities that enriched our discussion and critical skills such as: peer review, panels discussion and presenting posters. 
In addition to the clear picture of the theoretical and practical sides of Corpus Linguistics field. Not to mention its beneficial role for us as translators abd translation researchers.

I truly do believe that Dr. Maha, with her kind support and encouragement, has led us to achieve all this. So grateful..

This course not new to me, I have had learned this course before. But my knowledge about this course at a surface level. After joining this course with Mrs. Maha, I learn it more deeply both from the theoretical part and the practical part. After finishing this course under the guidance of Dr. Maha, I found that I learned a lot about this course especially the project, from the project I dealt with one of my most difficulties in translation which confused me from the BA degree. And it still will help me in my other courses. Again, Thank you, Dr. Maha.

I believe it made me remain self-motivated throughout the semester as there were various references to learn the material. Furthermore, this course is equally effective as a face-to-face course or online since we did both. Dr Maha has done such a great job in guiding us and delivering the course. She is very patient and very helpful. I am quite thankful for the amount of knowledge I gained from her.
