Teachers should use the students prior knowledge to adjust the lesson plans and curriculum to best fit their learning style and needs. I think this takes on many different meanings and values but over all the classroom should feel like a safe community. I think students who are able to feel loved, valued, safe, and understood inside the classroom are the ones who will be the most successful. Where they come from, who their family is, what their traditions are, etc are simple but very important details to know about each student.
