         <description><![CDATA[<p>On March 27, high winds hit one of the leg bracings (The support structures of the legs on platforms) so hard that it failed, and one of the legs on the platform collapsed, which led to the platform tilting 30 degrees and eventually capsizing, which is when boats and platforms tilt and take in enough water to sink.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>After further investigations, the Kiallend platrorm had a undetected crack on one of the leg bracings. The rest of the investigations are closed to the public, and the families of the deceased still has unanswered questions.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>The platform was a semi-submersible platform, wich means its floating.</p></li><li><p>After 40 years, people still wants to reopen the investigation.</p></li><li><p>After the disaster, the offshore command was much tighter and it was much clearer who is authorized an evacuation in case of an emergency</p></li><li><p>On march 31 1980, everyone in norway stood still for five minutes in tribute for those who lost their lives in the north sea.</p></li><li><p>About 18 months later another oil rig capsized in the same weather conditions, but it wasnt becaue of any structural failiure, acording to USCG.</p></li></ol>]]></description>
