Dear King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette,
You have been running this country into the ground, and things need to be changed. We have been oppressed by your nobility and these taxes have become unbearable. You have bankrupted this country, and forced the debt upon us. You have wronged the French, and we shall not stand for it.

The first problem is these taxes. The current economic situation is worrisome. You have spend all our money on luxury goods that only you get. You bankrupted the country just to spite to British in the Seven Years' War and the American Revolution. Your solution was to reform the tax all of us, while you sat on your fancy chair with your fancy plates eating your fancy food. We struggle day to day starving, with no end to the shortage in sight. Another big problem we have is that you, yourself, is the worst king this Country has ever seen. You tried to bring back the Estates General. The three estates, Clergy, Nobility, and Commoners aren't represented equally. Commoners are 98% of the population, so we should have more say in the government. One final reason why we need to seperate and revolt is you are stuck in the past with your traditions. The Enlightenment has shown us that tradition doesn't work anymore. We need to think logically, and based off of reason. That logic and reason as shown us that you are an ineffective leader who is using ancient practices to rule a modern empire.

The people of France want change. We want rights, recognition, and justice. Feudalism and privileges for nobility are unnecessary and unfair; they will be abolished. Us commoners make up the majority of France and are the backbone of this nation. We provide the food and labor, the only thing that allows high class noblemen and the king to indulge in luxury, but also the reason France can participate successfully in trade. Even so, you have treated us like vermin! After we have turned you away from the absolutist throne, the National Assembly will draft a Constitution to rebuild and improve our lives. France will be a Republic, backed by the power of the people and free from the restrictive, hard-handed control of the King. The voices of the common will be heard equally and acted upon justly. The president will be elected, and high courts will keep each other and the President in check. The new government will create a new France and a new Era of prosperity

Things have been great without you. While we did have a bit of a problem with Robespierre leading France into a dictatorship from 1793-1794 after we cut the heads off of the monarchy. We can now start over again, and this time, we are a republic. The army now represents France as a whole, with officers from any class, even the lower classes. Anything references to you have been defaced and destroyed. We burned your crowns and robes in a festival. Under the new rule of Napoleon Bonaparte, we expanded our territory further than you ever could. With him, we now have equality and religious freedoms.
