In a paragraph, reflect on what you learned about the generals of the North. Are you surprised by anything? Did these generals contribute to why the war was won by the North? Could they have contributed as to why the war lasted 4 years? What is one thing you learned? Add in a visual

I learned that the majority of successful generals, in both the north and south, were trained at West Point or the US military academy. Despite having their fair share of successful campaigns and battles, key losses were responsible for the eventual defeat. Some generals were blamed for the defeat of certain battles, like Gettysburg. Distinct battle tactics, like Stonewall's method and Forrest's method, were effective. Lee was perhaps the most influential out of the few, as some they took command under him.

If he hadn't faltered at Gettysburg and and kept his momentum before that, The South probably could've won. The war lasted four years because I feel the South's military strength was way superior to the North's. The North however had more soldiers and resources that kept the South at a slight stalemate making he war last 4 years. South's military tactics and North's soldier count dragged the war on.

Each and every general on their own contributed to the lengthiness (or lack there of) of the Civil War and its victor, the North.
