My hope is to learn from the conference about all aspects of my profession. There are many areas of policy and practice that are important to me. I place the needs of children with disabilities as a high priority, particularly with respect to reducing segregated placements that can be toxic to the development of children who are denied opportunities afforded to their non disabled peers. I do my best to share resources with my candidates that can empower them to advance the practice of inclusive education. However, it is not always easy due to the lack of knowledge found among some general education teachers with respect to inclusion. 

I love collaborating with my candidates in all aspects of student teaching and appreciate their willingness to act on recommendations.
