Volunteers Fair

Feedback has been extremely positive from stall holders and attendees alike. For each stall, we had on average 4 genuine expressions of interest from potential volunteers. Plus, there were invaluable conversations and networking taking place between organisations and potential service users. Some attendees visited specifically for the fair, a testament to its value in the community. We are aware that you may not have attended due to additional pressure from other events this June and hope that you will be able to attend next year.

Looking ahead, we will be back in Aldershot for 2027. We need to consider whether a weekday or weekend will be more beneficial. We ask that you complete the quick and simple pole below. Please take into consideration: 

• We changed it up this year by running on a Saturday, instead of a weekday. This increased the footfall and gave us a different mix of people attending.

• We know that weekends can be a challenge for those that are employed by their organisation weekdays only or have regular commitments.

Experience informs us we get a greater footfall of potential volunteers on a Saturday and we get a greater number of organisations attending when we hold the fair during the week. We encourage you to consider these facts when making your selection.

The Green Community Grants Programme offers one-year flexible funding for not-for-profit groups in England, Scotland and Wales with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million. 

Grants of up to £25,000 are available. 

To be eligible for funding, you must have been operating for a minimum of 12 months and your organisation's main aims and objectives must fit with one of the two funding themes: 

1. Contributing to nature recovery and responding to the climate emergency

Steady and Strong classes for older adults have been developed by experts to increase your strength and balance, helping you to stay stronger for longer so that you can keep doing the things you love.

New classes start Tuesday 8^th September.

Previous Chair experience is welcome but not essential. We encourage applications
