"A “growth mindset,” on the other hand, thrives on challenge and sees failure not as evidence of unintelligence but as a heartening springboard for growth and for stretching our existing abilities. " - Carol Dweck

"Why waste time proving over and over how great you are, when you could be getting better? Why hide deficiencies instead of overcoming them? Why look for friends or partners who will just shore up your self-esteem instead of ones who will also challenge you to grow? And why seek out the tried and true, instead of experiences that will stretch you? The passion for stretching yourself and sticking to it, even (or especially) when it’s not going well, is the hallmark of the growth mindset. This is the mindset that allows people to thrive during some of the most challenging times in their lives." - Carol Dweck

Some things that Carol S. Dweck mentioned in her TED talk that stood out to me was that an individual with a growth mindset is willing to learn, engages deeply, and shows more electrical activity than a fixed mindset. A fixed mindset easily fails, cheats, and runs from difficulty. She mentions the term "yet" which ties students to motivation, strategies, and improvement. I also really enjoyed the real life examples from students who took her advice and ended up seeing positive results in their academics. To add on, the TED talk video made me realize that I should be taking my academics more seriously and be more engaged in school. - Madeline Curincita :)

Of course, many people have different successes in life, whether it would be being financially stable or finally happy in life. I believe success is to push yourself to strive for greatness.’’
Samantha Santos

‘’Everyone has their own perspective of what success means and how success can be implemented to our daily lives. Success can defined in many different ways, it is compromised of many things. It is not all about wealth, happiness and fame. To me when I hear the word success, success means, happiness, passion, believing what you can do, not giving up and working hard on your dreams. Success should be achieved with perseverance, even if it doesn't lead you to big outcomes, you should still be proud of all the dedications yo've put through and all your time and efforts. Work with passion. If you love what you do, focus on that and do it sincerely. It will lead you to bigger achievements in life. Everyday is always a learning process.’’
Mark Anthony Miguel

Its hallmark is the conviction that human qualities like intelligence and creativity, and even relational capacities like love and friendship, can be cultivated through effort and deliberate practice."

A quote from "Everybody's favourite psychology theory isn't all its cracked up to be"

"Unfortunately, proponents of growth mindset research have made many hugely overblown claims in papers, books, and in the popular press, talking of the 'mindset revolution' and so on," says Ritchie. "What this study reveals is that the so-called 'revolution' is mostly a mirage: yes, there does seem to be effect of teaching children to hold a growth mindset, and this effect is a little bit bigger in children who are from poor backgrounds or who are at risk of academic failure, but it's more like a tiny nudge in the right direction than a life-changing panacea."
