Yet somehow, Kemi lucked out.</p><p>But everything Kemi thought she knew changes when she sees an asteroid hover in the sky, casting a purple haze over her world. In grade 6, they look more closely at how data is spread out, learning to talk about differences in data using terms like center, spread, and unusual points (like outliers). They also learn to describe shapes of data (whether it's even, skewed, or symmetrical). To help visualize this, they use charts like histograms and box plots. Students also follow four steps: asking a question about the data, collecting the data, analyzing it, and then making sense of what they found.</p>]]></description>
