It may be easier, but its certainly not better. We have gotten used to this way of life, and we think that without it, our whole existence will change. It will, but in a good way. It is selfish of us to ruin everything around us for the sake of an easier life. Some good solutions would be to slowly fade them out. Introducing new ways of life, and making them seem better and easier than using fossil fuels could slowly fade out the life we have now.
