http://www.hotchalkeducationnetwork.com/collaboration-with-purpose/
A lot of teachers aren't given the option of having a co-teacher. If this isn't an option, you can collaborate with other teachers and join classrooms for different topics and projects. It helps to not be isolated and to help support each other, especially if you have a harder group of kids with behaviors, etc.

The best part of having a co-teacher, a paraprofessional, and aid etc. is the support you get. When you work closely with someone like that, you learn each others strengths and weaknesses. When one person is teaching or doing an activity, the other can help with behaviors, or set up and tear down of the activity. It is like a well oiled machine and really helps the students to learn as they aren't being constantly interrupted.
