The main people representing the company were all talk, no do. A customer would get very excited about the excellent service they had been led to believe they were getting, only to find that the workers wouldn’t get out of bed in time to start the job. Yikes. I can think of my local video store from years ago which no longer exists because it didn't change. it did successfully change from VHS to DVDsand keep with technology that way. but as online streaming got more popular and people demanded instant choice they lost their business. Hard to tell how they could've changed and kept in business because a little corner store won't have the resources to make a big company like netflix, but it is an example of not changing.]]> 2018-06-28 21:39:25 UTC https://padlet.com/itsupport4/8osc6f06s1w7/wish/268906960 https://padlet.com/itsupport4/8osc6f06s1w7/wish/269100294 We live in a very small community with very few shops but have 6 fast food shops.  out of these all  6 are sit down eating places as well.  The local pub decided to get in on this as well.  they cut the pub in half and made a new eatery.  While this could be a good money maker as there is so many people driving through our town it was not.  They did not count on the locals eatting there in the first week even though they would go to the pub.  They put people in the kitchen with little to no experance.  it took one hour and 45 minuts to get a pizza from there.  Adventually they closed then rented out the area.  The change was great but they did not look at how they could make the business work well with stafing.

They closed their doors as apps like itunes became popular. The trading of second hand (vintage records) was overtaken by Penny Lane who have three locations in chch.
