The Hobbit
J.R.R Tolkien
Fictional Fantasy/Adventure
"The eagles are coming!"
Tolkien's world was cleverly crafted and imagined within his fantasy kingdom. It was both able to create this huge world of marvellous wealth and wonder, whilst being able to follow the smaller and less significant perspective of Biblo Baggins. He acts as a door to the world, someone who hasn't gone where his fellow companions have. The character grows and develops alongside his companions in a way where you can see his growth from the beginning of the story. He grows with the audience, which is what initially why I invested and greatly cared about the character. The smaller life like reactions of Bilbo acts as a a good grounding of the magical world, balancing the wide wonders of Tolkien's world with the lifelike experiences of the characters within it.
